Let’s stay at temple “Shukubo” experience with Japanese heart
Would you like to stay at temple?
When we look for popular places to foreigners visiting Japan,
we often hear Fushimi-Inari-Taisha or Kiyomizudera in Kyoto or Todaiji in Nara.
The reason is that you can feel Japanese history, culture and scenery.
“Shukubo”
which is to stay at place where
“Japanese history and traditional culture are dense in Japanese space”
is gaining attention.
“Shukubo” is the accommodation in temple or shrine.
It used to be accommodation for monks and worshipers
but there are more and more facility accepting general tourists.
Quiet time apart from the daily life.
Enjoy
“Shojin-Ryori”
without meat or listen to
“houwa”
which is the teaching of Hotoke on Tatami…
There are plenty of experience unique to Japan.
We get into Futon on Tatami little earlier than usual.
Morning of temple starts early and cleanup and walk in the morning is quite refreshing.
Garden with allure of four seasons is also attractive.
This is
“the heart of Japan”.
