Feeling "Japan" Zazen (Zen meditation) experience on the tatami and Goshuin (holy stamp)

Do you know the “Goshuin”?

Actually the Goshuin is a amp to be given when you visit the temple and submit a
“Shakyo” (a handwritten copy of a sutra).

Recently most temples gives it as a
“result to visit”
so that collectors are increasing.

“It’s a Japanese art!”
“Hand writing letters are grateful.”
“It’s Japanese traditional beauty!”

It’s getting good evaluations from abroad.
Goshuin is given to show respect the God and each one is hand writing means
“only one”.

Each works are bit different by writers and it is one of a joyous for collectors.

“Kenchoji”
in Kamakura, Kanagawa is also a famous temple by a Goshuin.
There is designated as a domestic historical site.

So there is not only a Goshuin, but also there are precinct with carious rare buildings, and
“Unryuzu (a painting of dragon and clouds)”
sized about 80 tatamis that you should see.

And there is a
“Zazen”
experience that is crossing your legs on the tatami and meditating yourself.

To experience them, one of interesting thing is that
“Zazen in English”
is held in English to explain them and answer questions.

Goshuin and Zazen.
Visitting Kenchoji can feel Japan from both visible
“commemoration”
and invisible
“experience”
so it will be the best opportunity to visit Japan.
