If you put chairs on the tatami, how is the bamboo chair mat?
Since long time ago, Japanese people has put a Japanese cushion called zabuton on the tatami
and sat on it as their life style.
They haven’t put chairs on the tatami and sat on it so far.
But recently in Japan, their life style is becoming European style;
Putting a desk and a chair on the tatami room to use a PC or to use
as a studying room for children, etc.
And also in other countries, people who wants to use the tatami for their room are increasing.
So the style putting chairs on the tatami is spreading.
However the tatami is elasticity and soft.
If we put chair on the tatami for a long time, tracks of chairs will be remained.
If it’s the caster chair, its tracks will be remained on the tatami.
So recently in Japan, the bamboo chair mat is developed.
Its surface is woody taste and bamboo material.
It’s naturally suite with both the tatami and the flooring.
Its behind is like the thick carpet and it avoids tracks of chairs on the floor.
If you put chairs on the tatami, why can’t you put such a chair mat?
