It’s popular for tourists from abroad! A shukubo (lodge) at the world heritage Mt. Kouyasan

There is the world heritage
“Mt. Kouyasan”

Mt. Kouyasan is located in Wakayama Prefecture, Western Japan.
There is the head temple of
“the Shingon Sect of Buddhism”
and it has been famous as
“the holy place for pray”
since 1,000 years ago.

Recently this Mt. Kouyasan is popular for tourists from abroad.
Especially tourists from Europe and US are rushing to Mt. Kouyasan.

Mr. Kouyasan is silent, calmed, and there is a taste like
“the land of mystery”
where is another world from the city.
This would be why here is attracting tourists from abroad.

There are several
“shukubos (lodge)”
at Mt. Kouyasan.
“Shukubo”
is a temple facility to use as lodging.

Visitors can experience the large room with tatamis, the cypress bath, and the Lenten fare
that is the vegetarian dish based on the Buddhism.
Also Buddhism works, for example, sutra chanting and copying, are able to experience.

The shukubo at Mt. Kouyasan costs about ¥10,000 a night including two meals and experiences
for Buddhism training.
Some shukubos accept to stay with groups.

At Mt. Kouyasan, where is the land of mystery in Japan far away from the city, why can’t you stay
at the shukubo to feel Japanese traditions and to fast body and soul?
