Even popular for people from abroad! Being with Ama-san (fisherwomen) in a tatami floored hut at the seaside

Recently in Japan, tourists from abroad are rapidly increasing.
They want to be in the tatami floored room, and to experience Japanese culture like Shodo (calligraphy),
Sado (tea ceremony), and Zen.

Why can’t you experience rare Japanese culture in a local city instead of popular Japanese culture
that is well known in abroad?

Mie Prefecture is famous of
“Ise-jingu Shrine”.
There is a famous area named
“Ise-Shima”
in Mie Prefecture, and it’s known as a town with beautiful sea.

This place is famous of the gorgeous seafoods, like the lobster and the abalone.
These seafoods are gotten by
“Ama-san” (means fisherwomen)
by driving without an oxygen tank into the bottom of the ocean.

A culture of “Ama-san” has a long history, and the oldest record of it is around the 1st and a half century.
In Japan, there is a culture of “Ama-san” in several sites, including Ise-Shima.

Ise-Shima has a facility to communicate with such Ama-san.
It is
“Ama Hut Experiencing Facility Satoumian”
managed by Ise Tourist Information.

“Ama Hut” is located nearby the beautiful sea in Ise-Shima, and there are large tatami floored rooms.
Usually it is for the Ama-san to heat their coldness body around the fireplace,
and then heal their fatigue, have a meal, after that take a rest after their works.

Recently, tourists are accepted to come and visit here to hear the story of fishing from Ama-san,
and eat fresh seafoods like sushi.

Ama-san is the fisherwomen.
They are strong, generous, and very friendly.

Through experiences to be relaxed in the Japanese traditional building with tatami and
the fireplace and taste seafoods or sushi, why can’t you enjoy communicating with Ama-san?
