Enjoy the summer in Sendai Tanabata Festival and the tatami floored lodge village
With Aomori Nebuta Festival and Akita Kantou Festival, Sendai Tanabata Festival is called
“three greatest festival in the northeast region”.
Even in this year, Tanabata Festival, that makes Sendai exciting in the summer season, was held from 8/6 ~ 8/8.
To overcome the damage from the cold weather that made several hundred thousand victims,
Tanatabata Festival had started to pray for a good harvest to the god of the harvest.
People in the shopping street prepare for several months and decorate the street by
handmade Tanabata decorations.
