It takes about one hour by bus from Kyoto city.
A quiet mountain village, Ohara is one of the best tourist spots in Kyoto.

“Sanzen-in Temple”

Three principal objects in a main temple
“Ohjo-Gokuraku-in”
is designated as a national treasure.

Saicho, a founder of Sendai sect, built a hall in Mt. Hieizan.
Though it was relocated and reconstructed several times in a long time, it was built in a current place
with rich nature in 1871.

The mossed figure in the garden of Sanzen-in Temple is filled with good taste.
There are
“Shuhekien”
and
“Yuseien”.

Most people say this is the garden in Sanzein-in Temple, and it’s attracting visitors’ heart.

When you see the garden on the tatami, you will meet the beautiful view in each season.
The autumn leaves are seen by the beginning of December, and after that, the great snowy landscape is
seen in the winter season.
