Most historical lords of Hamamatsu-jo castle were promoted as senior statesmen in the Edo Shogunate, and then,
it was called
Hamamatsu-jo Castle was expanded and repaired by Ieyasu TOKUGAWA, who opened the Edo Shogunate and
developed the castle town.
Its stone wall was stood from the wind and the snow for 400 years, and it made by combining natural stones.

In the castle tower where built in 1958, many works of military commanders like Ieyasu are exhibited.

and wild birds.

there is the alcove to see the Japanese garden and the tatami floored beautiful Japanese room.
When it opens, you can enjoy green tea and Japanese sweets in ¥400.
It’s good to enjoy the Japanese tea time while healing fatigued feet by strolling the park.
In Hamamatsu City, a festival for the citizens “Hamamatsu Festival” is held from 5/3 ~ 5/5 to pray
and celebrate for healthy growth of children.
It starts at 10:00 5/3 with brilliant fireworks!
It’s necessary to see powerful “flying kites”, originated to celebrate the childbirth of the former lord
in the Edo Period, and “battles to cut the strings”, tangling strings of kites with opponents and
trying to cut their opponents’ strings.
There is Hamamatsu-jo Castle, seeing promotions of a lot of military commanders, and exciting Hamamatsu Festival.
