Carp streamers, that carps are drawn on the tubular cloth, is put up high like flags and tubular streamers.

Why is it carps?

Because people thought carps are hard workers and being great fishes among a lot of fishes.

Carp streamers are organized by colorful family carps;

During this season, a lot of carp streamers are shown at homes in various parts of Japan and at large places
like riverbeds as “Carp Streamers Festival”.

For example, there are 3,500 carp streamers in Tsuetate Hot Spring in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture,
and it looks like that they swim up the river.

In Tsuetate area, there are public baths of the hot spring called “Kyoudouyu” and foot baths.
And also, you can take the rare steamed bath among inns.

It’s good for your health to take a bath, especially the hot spring, several times in a day.

After walking and hot springs, you can relax at the inn.
If you see the river from the room made of natural materials like the wood, the tatami, and
the Japanese paper, you’ll feel like being a part of nature.
