Iwate Prefecture is located in the northern part of Tohoku region in Japan.
Hanamaki City is in the Midwest part of Iwate Prefecture, that is a second largest prefecture following to Hokkaido, and it’s known as the birth place of Kenji MIYAZAWA, who is a poet representative the Meiji Period.

Also, it’s famous as the originated place of “Wanko Soba”, that is a special product in Iwate.

“Hanamaki Hot Spring” is one of famous tourist spots in Hanamaki, and it’s a hot spring village with a
lot of view spots in its area.

There is “Kamabuchi falls”, that appears in a work by Kenji MIYAZAWA, and designate as a place of
national scenic beauty.
It’s a great scene that pure water is divided by a large rock, that is 8.5 meters high and 30 meters wide,
and fallen.

Around Kamabuchi falls, a walking path, that is able to walk about for 15 minutes, is maintained so that
people are able to walk around while feeling the rich nature.

In Hanamaki Hot Spring Rose Garden, where 450 types of 6,000 roses are bloomed, the roses are
blooming now.

“Hanamaki Hot Spring Rose Festival” is held till July 8th, and you will be impressed by lighted up mysterious
and beautiful roses.

There is a rose tunnel that is 100 meters long, and those fragrant may heal you.
Also, you should check Hanamaki Hot Spring’s original roses.
