“Hakata Gion Yamakasa” is a festival representing the biggest city in Kyushu area, Fukuoka.
It has more than 750 years of history, and a lot of people are excited.

“Yamakasa” is a ritual utensil that is used at festivals of shrines.
Before the Meiji Period, 15 meters of Yamakasa walked around the town.

shorter Yamakasa “Kaki Yamakasa” is made and carried.

there are a lot of view points like a well that has effects for a youth and long life, a trial stone of strength, a mask of “Otafuku” that is seen in February when is around the season of Setsubun (February 3rd), and so on.
