Kasaoka City is in southern-west part of Okayama Prefecture, and its west part is next to Fukuyama City in Hiroshima Prefecture.
Because of that, its climate is warm and few rains, and there are few plains, it has had the history to
wish water and the land since long time ago.
Predecessors put great efforts to live; for example, they reclaim the land and conduct water from
Takahashi River in Kurashiki City to avid water shortage.

Speaking of the summer tradition in Japan, it’s big fireworks in the night sky.
Even on July 28th this year, “Kasaoka Port Fireworks Festival” is held to decorate the summer night sky
in Kasaoka.
Attractions of Kasaoka fireworks are to see powerful views by more than 5,000 fireworks while being relaxed
nearby the sea.
The gentle wind from the Inland Sea feels comfortable, and people are fulfilled by relaxing feeling.

In the Inland Sea of Kasaoka Coast, there are 31 big and small islands called “Kasaoka Islands”.
7 islands among them have residents, and there are 100 to 1,000 people.
There is no bridge, but people use liners or fast ferries to go each island, so Kasaoka Islands are still
“remote islands”.

After enjoying fireworks, why don’t you visit Kasaoka Islands to spend a comfortable time?

While enjoying to see the Inland Sea and to eat fresh seafoods, you can spend luxury time in the
warm Japanese room.

When you lie down on the tatami and strain your ears, you’ll hear the sound of waves.
Please note that Kobi Island, among 7 residential islands, has no accommodation.

There is warm “Inland time” to see the views.
You can enjoy luxury time to do nothing on Kasaoka Islands.
