Mt. Bandai-san, that is 1,819 meters above the sea level, lies across Inawashiro Town, Bandai Town, and Kitashiobara Town in Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.

It is designated as a 100 famous mountains in Japan, and also, it is called “Aizufuji” or “Mt. Aizubandai-san” because it shows the beautiful triangle summit.

Mt. Bandai-san attracts a lot of climbers and tourists, and it is a reason why it is popular because it takes only 2 hours to climb and even it is good for beginners;
there are beautiful greens and flowers, brilliant “Goshikinuma” that has about 30 big and small lakes and marshes, cold spring waters that refresh people, the rich nature like sharp “Tenguiwa”, and the marvelous view from the summit.

Aizuwakamatsu has a lot of historic view spots like “Tsuruga-jo Castle” called an impregnable famous castle, and graves for boys called “Byakko-tai” who had tragic deaths by Boshin War.

Also, it is famous as tasteful hot springs like Ashinomaki Hot Spring and Higashiyama Hot Spring.
In Higashiyama Hot Spring, there is an inn that all guest rooms are designated as the natural asset, and its Japanese atmosphere surrounded by the wood, the paper, the soil, and the tatami offers luxurious relaxation and elegance.

You can enjoy the warmth as the wooden architecture.

Aizuwakamatsu has the rich nature to see the grand Mt. Banda-san, the history under the Tsuruga-jo Caslte, and the Japanese atmosphere.
There are very Japanese views.
