Kyoto is an old city where a lot of tourists from both Japan and abroad are coming throughout a year.
It is a tourist spot representing Japan, and even famous for tourists from abroad, so that most of you may visit Kyoto.
Kyoto is fulfilled with the history and charms, so that the whole town is the tourist spot.
There are a lot of the view spots; “Kinkaku-Ji Temple”, shined with gold, was built by Yoshimitsu Ashikaga who was a general in the Muromachi Period, “Kiyomizu Temple” with marvelous views, red “Senbon Torii”, “Fushimi Inari Shrine” that was the most popular tourist spots for foreign people, and so on.
Kyoto is able to enjoy four seasons; for examples, the spring is cherry blossoms, the beginning of the summer is the fresh green, the autumn is the autumn leaves, and the winter is the snow view.
It is crowded all seasons, especially famous spots like Kinkaku-Ji Temple and Kiyomizu-Dera Temple are difficult to see leisurely.
If you want to enjoy the old city atmosphere leisurely, we recommend you “Yase” area, where takes 45 minutes by the bus from Kyoto station.
Yase area is at the base of Mt. Hiei, where extends across the next city, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.
It is silent and calmed.
There is Renge-Ji Temple, and it is “good unknown spot” that has marvelous views of the pond with silent surface and the garden with fresh greens though it looks small.
Seeing the view of the beginning of the summer from the alcove beyond the beautiful zashiki with the tatami makes you calming and relaxing.
Please enjoy this slowly moment in the silence while drinking the green tea.
Taking 10 minutes in a walk from Renge-Ji Temple, there is “Rurikou-In Temple”, that is famous as “marvelous view of the green maple”.
Just now, from 4/15 to 6/30, Ruriko-In Temple is opened as “special admission in the spring”.
Passing through the gate with greens, you will be amazed by the beautiful view and shined green maples on the top board of the black desk.
But you should remember that it costs ¥2,000 to admit, that is very expensive in Kyoto, and crowded by a lot of people who are attracted by the marvelous view of green maples!
In Kyoto, the summer is too hot and the winter is too cold.
