In Japan, June is also called “Minazuki”.
It means “the month of the water”.

Japan is a country of rice growing, and during this season, just after the rice-planting season, it needs to irrigate paddies.
Because of this background, June has been called “Minazuki”

In June, Japan is in the rainy season, called “Tsuyu”; it is surely “the month of the water”.
The beginning day of Tsuyu in the calendar is called “Nyubai”, and it is 6/11 this year.

Tsuyu does not have good impressions; it rains every day, becomes difficult to go out, and does not feel fresh because of the humid.
But, it is “Blessing rain” for crops, representing the rice.
After Tsuyu, the real summer is coming to Japan.

A traditional Japanese culture “tatami” has a role to inhale the moisture, so that the Japanese room is able to stay comfortable during Tsuyu season.

However, it is often more humid than a permissible range of the tatami, or gets some troubles because the neglected tatami brings ticks and molds.
So, the new tatami is appeared recently; it uses “Machine made Japanese paper” on the surface of the tatami, that is hygienic and durable.

“Japanese paper tatami” is studied to aim to the exterior and the cushioned efficient of the rush tatami.

It is quite rare to bring ticks and molds, repels water well, furthermore, it is strong and clean.
It is comfortable for your feet, and gentle touch even if you lie on.
It is gentle for small kids, cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.
