There is a popular tourist spot in Fushimi “Teradaya”, a samurai in the late Edo Period Ryoma Sakamoto was attacked.
When Ryoma visited Kyoto, he stayed in Teradaya every time.
Though it was destroyed by fire in 1868, it was rebuilt to keep former looks in 1950s’.
It is able to see the tatami floored room that Ryoma stayed, the remains of the sword on a pillar when he was attacked, and bullet marks by Ryoma.
There are prohibited matters because it is a historic site, but you are able to stay in this Teradaya.
